hey ema — Accessibility Statement

1. Our commitment to accessibility

By Loci Pty Ltd ACN 635 780 451 (Hey ema, we, us, our) is committed to making Hey ema usable by the widest possible range of people, including people with disabilities. We aim to design, build, and maintain Hey ema so that people who use assistive technologies — such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice-input software, and alternative input devices — can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with the product.

Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We treat it as part of our design and engineering process rather than a one-off project, and we work to improve the accessibility of Hey ema over time (see §9).

2. Conformance target

Our target conformance standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).

WCAG 2.2 Level AA is the standard most widely referenced by the accessibility and disability-discrimination regimes in the markets we serve, and it is the benchmark against which we test and self-assess Hey ema.

3. Current conformance status

We test our product surfaces against WCAG 2.2 Level AA as part of our development process, with particular attention to high-contrast mode. On that basis, Hey ema is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA — meaning we test against the standard and most of the product conforms, but some parts may not yet fully conform. We have not completed a full independent audit. Known limitations are described in §6.

The current status is based on internal testing and self-assessment only. We intend to commission independent assessments as we grow (see §9).

4. Standards and regimes we target across the global market

Hey ema is sold and used internationally. While WCAG 2.2 Level AA is our single technical benchmark, we orient our accessibility program to the following regimes in the principal markets we serve. The applicability of any particular law to a given Customer deployment depends on that Customer's own circumstances and use.

4.1 European Union

  • EN 301 549 — the harmonised European accessibility standard for ICT products and services, which incorporates WCAG success criteria.
  • European Accessibility Act — Directive (EU) 2019/882, with national transposing laws applicable from 28 June 2025, which imposes accessibility requirements on certain products and services placed on the EU market.

4.2 United States

  • The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), in particular as applied to commercial websites and digital services.
  • Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, where Hey ema is procured by or on behalf of US federal agencies, which references WCAG/EN 301 549-aligned criteria.

4.3 Australia

  • The Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (Cth), under which inaccessible digital services may amount to unlawful discrimination.
  • WCAG, as referenced by Australian government and accessibility guidance.

4.4 United Kingdom

  • The Equality Act 2010, which requires reasonable adjustments and prohibits discrimination in the provision of services, including digital services.

5. How we assess accessibility

We assess the accessibility of Hey ema using a combination of methods:

  • Automated testing — automated tooling integrated into our development and review processes to catch common issues (e.g. colour contrast, missing labels, structural errors).
  • Manual testing — human review against the WCAG 2.2 Level AA success criteria, including keyboard-only navigation, focus order, and content structure.
  • Assistive-technology testing — testing with assistive technologies and configurations such as screen readers, screen magnification, and high-contrast and reduced-motion settings.

These assessments are performed internally as part of our development process. We do not currently publish a VPAT/ACR.

6. Known limitations

Despite our efforts, some parts of Hey ema may not yet fully meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Based on our self-assessment, known limitations may include:

  • certain complex interactive components may have incomplete assistive-technology support;
  • some dynamically generated or AI-generated content may not consistently meet all success criteria; and
  • certain areas of the product that are scheduled for redesign.

Where a limitation affects your use of Hey ema, please contact us (see §8) and we will work with you on an alternative or accommodation.

7. Third-party and embedded content

Hey ema may include or integrate content, components, or services provided by third parties (for example, embedded media, payment interfaces, identity providers, and Customer-supplied content). We do not control the accessibility of third-party content, and we cannot guarantee its conformance with WCAG 2.2 Level AA.

In addition, content created or uploaded by Customers and their Authorised Users (including documents, media, and free-text content) is the responsibility of the Customer, and its accessibility depends on how the Customer prepares that content.

Where third-party or Customer content causes an accessibility barrier, we will, where reasonably practicable, raise it with the relevant provider or work with the Customer to identify an alternative.

8. Feedback, feature requests, and complaints

We welcome feedback on the accessibility of Hey ema — including reports of barriers, suggestions for improvement, accessibility-related feature requests, and requests for information in an accessible format. Your input helps us prioritise improvements.

Please tell us the page or feature affected, the assistive technology and browser you were using (if relevant), and a description of the problem or suggestion:

Our other contact channels are set out in the Privacy Policy (H2 §15); for accessibility matters, please use the channels above so your request reaches the right team.

Response timeframe. We aim to acknowledge accessibility feedback and requests within 5 business days and to provide a substantive response, or the requested information in an accessible format, within 20 business days. Where a request is complex, we will keep you informed of our progress and expected timing.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be entitled to escalate the matter to the relevant accessibility or anti-discrimination authority in your jurisdiction.

9. Ongoing improvement and review

We treat accessibility as a continuing commitment. As part of our ongoing-improvement program, we:

  • incorporate accessibility into design and engineering practices;
  • test new and changed features against WCAG 2.2 Level AA before and after release;
  • track and prioritise known limitations for remediation; and
  • review this Statement and our conformance status on a regular basis.

We will review this Statement at least every 12 months, and sooner following a significant product change.
